IELTS Test Speaking Part 3

Part 3 is the most complex testing part of the speaking test on the IELTS test.  This area focuses on abstract content developed off of part 2.  These questions and discussions may take four or five minutes.

You may have the most difficulty with this section of the IELTS test.  You will be scored on how effectively you can develop the abstract ideas on the IELTS test.

Overall, try and stick to the topic on this specific part of the IELTS test.  This is section where the examiner will really try and get an understanding of your knowledge.   Be sure and use proper grammar and accents when appropriate.

Try and stay away from using expressions like Uh. while thinking about your ideas in your head.  Take a second and pause if you are unsure and then speak.  Don’t try and fill in the dead space between ideas if your not sure about what to say.
